Allergies Awareness  & Why it's Important

The health and safety of every student is a top priority in our classroom. We have students with food allergies, including PEANUT AND TREE NUT ALLERGIES so we ask that all families be mindful when sending snacks, birthday treats, or other food items to school. Please avoid sending any products that contain peanuts or tree nuts unless they have been approved by the school. If you plan to send in birthday treats or special snacks, please contact me ahead of time so we can make sure they are safe for all students. Thank you for helping us create a safe, caring, and inclusive classroom where every child can learn with confidence. Your cooperation and understanding are greatly appreciated!

Birthday Treat & Snack Policy

Birthdays are a special time to celebrate, and I love recognizing each student's special day! To help keep our classroom safe and inclusive for everyone, please review the following birthday treat guidelines.

  • All birthday treats must be peanut-free and tree nut-free. This is very important due to student allergies.
  • Please send only store-bought, individually wrapped treats with the ingredient label attached.  HOMEMADE TREATS CAN NOT BE ACCEPTED.
  • If you would like to send in birthday treats, please contact me a few days in advance so we can confirm they meet our classroom allergy guidelines.
  • Non-food items, such as pencils, stickers, bookmarks, or erasers, are always welcome and are a great way to celebrate without allergy concerns.
  • Birthday celebrations will take place at a time that best fits our classroom schedule to minimize interruptions to learning, but normally towards the end of the day around 2:00.

Thank you for helping us create a safe, healthy, and welcoming classroom for every student. Your cooperation is greatly appreciated and helps ensure that all children can celebrate together!

In our classroom, we choose kindness. We wash our hands. We keep food to ourselves. We check with our teacher before sharing treats. We help keep everyone safe. Because every student deserves to learn in a classroom where they feel welcome and protected.
